Get Excited to Stay Active: Regular exercise not only enhances your physical health but also elevates your mood and overall well-being! Whether you love yoga, pilates, strength training, or prefer a more out-of-the-box approach, there are countless ways to get moving and stay active. Personally, I find structured activities challenging, so I lean towards a more playful way of keeping fit. Staying active doesn't have to be just another task on our to-do list. Dancing, playing ball games, hula hooping (something iI love to do)… moving our bodies and staying active can truly be a fun!
Mindful Movement: Incorporate mindful activities, that connect you in with your body and surroundings.
As a Remedial massage therapist, I regularly treat clients who forget to consider their body until, it becomes injured or is calling out in pain. Our body's are supporting us in every moment yet we often forget to stop and give consideration for it's needs to function optimally (dragging it along by a consuming mind). Often if we do consider it, it's with a push or drive for it to do more or do better (which is fine in balance) but our body also needs nurture and for us to connect in and really listen to its needs.
Hydrate: Drinking enough water is essential for your body to function properly. Stay hydrated throughout the day to support your metabolism, digestion, and energy levels. Did you know for every caffeinated drink, we need approx. 500mls of water to rehydrate?
